My glass practice is inspired by my passion for aerial performance. Working in aerial arts enables me to explore elements of movement, rhythm, balance and agility, aspects that have informed my glass blowing practice. The forms created in blown glass balance on the metal hoops; the glass is able to rock gently back and forth on the metal hoops whilst maintaining a constant balance, as reflected in my aerial art performances.

The glass rests easily on the hoop and pole, delicately held in a tension of movement and balance. The clear glass forms are blown and later cold worked to provide illusions of movement, and this adds to the grace and fluidity of the form. As such, each piece embodies its own character which is accentuated through the process of cutting and polishing. Thereby exposing voids that enable the viewer to see both the internal and external space.
