Coastal Marks and Rhythms is a collection inspired by my home, North Wales. Every mark, brushstroke and colour choice within my work is drawn from these dramatic landscapes. This could be in the way that the rocks lie on each other or the ripples of sea water as it steadily comes into land. This is where I find my inspiration, recording and documenting. I combine embroidery and printing methods to create intuitive handmade pieces that capture the movement and textures of the costal elements.
